  1. Time releasing content is incredibly important because of the way that Blizzard balanced things back then. I can’t speak to whether or not the world buff exploit was intended, but I think it’s pretty obvious that Dire Maul was meant to serve as a way for players to gear up more easily for later game content that they might be struggling with otherwise – after all of the other players have worked hard to clear the hurdle themselves. It was effectively a handicap for straggling guilds. However, I share the sentiment that there should be a strict limitation to the benefits of instanced dungeons.

    I think it’s completely inappropriate to be able to reliably farm anything out of an instance – especially if it’s arguably the #1 way to make gold. They should be doing everything they can to encourage players to go out into the open world for things like materials – that’s what made the older expansions feel alive. The world buff bothers me a little less because it requires some know-how and at least 15+ minutes of coordinated effort to get a raid team ready to go. I wouldn’t be sad to see it nerfed, though.
